 Dear Golld Bullion Buyer,

Look, let's cut right to the chase ... Whatever reason your are buying gold bullion can be greatly enhanced by also purchasing a true collectible at the same time. You'ill have the best of both worlds ….. gold bullion and a rare collectible.

If you want to really take a minute to think about the real value of this strategy you'ill come to the realization that there are not going to be any more of these rare gold bullion arts medallions EVER MINTED again.

Yes, there have not been any minted since 1984….. over 21 years ago.

Gold Bullion Medallions Melted

Signikficant quantities of the 1980 and 1981 and lesser quantities of the 1982 and 1983 have been melted for their gold value.

It's no secret that the approximately 850,000 ounces of the 1982 and 1983 issues of the gold bullion medallions were reportedly melted down by J. Aron & Co. in 1984.

What dose this mean to you? Scarcity of a true collectible.

Gold Bullion Continues to be melted.

The issues were sold directly by the Mint to the public. Initially there was a limit of six coins per purchaser and buys were made on the previous days spot gold price. Therefore buyers could buy gold below market value. Then for some unknown reason the limit was removed and dealers started purchasing in large quantities.

Analysis and Outlook, a gold bullion newsletter, featured an in depth article on the melting of these medallions. The results follow:
